Hi friends! Welcome to our blog, a place where we share our favorites from weddings days, tips and a glimpse into our everyday life. So glad you're here!
Earlier this year I attended Jasmine Star’s reSTARt class at CreativeLIVE in Seattle and not only did I make life long friends, (shout out to my restart loves!!) but it gave me a swift kick in the pants to start collectively putting the pieces to the puzzle, aka my branding, together! One thing I wanted to do for a long time was to create a bridal guide. An all-you-need-to-know at the beginning of wedding planning, at the beginning of your wedding photographer search, way to guide you through the process type magazine. Helping give brides (and grooms!) the tools to do the overwhelming task of choosing the right photographer for them. Of course not every time is it going to be me per say, but I wanted to know that at the end of the day, they had great information that would lead them to “the one.”
Boy was this a task! I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t a perfectionist. Especially when it comes to my business (and lets be honest, at decorating the house too) so I swapped images, ordered about 3 different proofs-making sure all the grammar, spelling and images were exactly what I had in mind. I reopened photoshop, re-edited in my magazine publications website over and over and over. About a 2 month process off-and-on for me. Finally, last week, I made the last (gosh I hope the last) edits and ordered bulk of my bridal guide! They arrived in the mail yesterday (now, I thought they were coming Thursday, so I was starring at the front door for not 1, but 2 days, waiting for the Fed Ex lady!). I’m so thrilled with the way they turned out! They’re not only a great representation of what brides need to know when it comes to their wedding photography, but it’s also a really proud representation of myself, my brides and my wedding photography business!
So, here is a snapshot of the magazine! If you’re getting married and would like a copy, let me know! I’d be happy to put a pretty little package in the mail with your name on it! Know anyone that could benefit from this? Shoot me an email at info@amandalloydphotography.com (ps, theirs a digital version, if mail isn’t your thing!) Enjoy! ~ Amanda
