Duncan Loves Bethany // Olympia Wedding Photographer

Bethany and Duncan’s day was one of the most smooth and on time weddings I’ve ever attended. When I first met with Bethany and Duncan they filled my heart with so much excitement for their day. They kept explaining what a celebration it would be. A BIG celebration. When they would talk about their wedding plans they would talk about them with “we, us, our church.” For them, it wasn’t about just celebrating their love, but it was about celebrating it with their church. Every detail kept in mind those that attended. Heck, they even had a carnival outside for the kids to enjoy while all the adults celebrated inside. Awesome right?

It was an overcast Spring day in Washington. It misted rain off and on, but Bethany and Duncan were champs and didn’t mind one bit! For them, capturing every moment was far more important than a couple rain drops! Bethany looked absolutely amazing in her dress. The first time she saw herself in the mirror I almost cried myself! (sap here!) Duncan surprised her with a gorgeous pair of diamond earrings that she was ecstatic about wearing! Her wedding ring? Well, it was a surprise too! And, a portion of the 3 locations Bethany and Duncan will be visiting these next 3 weeks on their honeymoon, it’s a surprise as well!

Bethany and Duncan didn’t just share seeing each other for the first time as Bethany walked down the aisle, but the first time they kissed was shared at the alter as well. Their family, friends and loved ones cheered, smiled and cried as both Bethany and Duncan walked down the aisle. I had chills. And their reception was exactly how they described it-completely full of entertainment. They had a band, which might I add, is amazing, amongst tons of other hilariously fun performers that were, you guessed it, a surprise to the Bride and Groom. Wedding season is in full swing for me now, and I was more-than-ellated to start the season off with photographing Bethany and Duncan’s day! Here are my favorites! Meet, Bethany + Duncan!
