Walking into Kelsey’s hotel room at the Westin hotel downtown, everything was calm, Pandora’s wedding channel was playing, and it was the most calm getting ready environment I’ve ever been in! Kelsey was so relaxed, her Mom was cracking jokes (seriously, she was a hoot) and Kelsey was just calm, cool and enjoying getting her makeup done! (Which by the way, looked amazing). It was an overcast day and their view from the hotel of the city was breath taking! Kelsey and I headed to Golden Gardens, where Sergei was anxiously awaiting Kelsey’s arrival, with her bouquet in hand! “I’m totally not nervous,” he said, “I’m just so excited!”

When I first met with Kelsey and Petrie, they talked about their wedding plans, how they wanted to have a small, intimate wedding, celebrating with close family and friends at Ray’s boathouse! Kelsey envisioned lots of personalized details. Kelsey and a good friend of hers created a “walk down memory lane” aisle runner, and it was a surprise to Sergei!  Her dress from the Vera Wang White Collection was customized to fit her style perfectly. They had accents of lavender, their favorite, and did I mention they had a ice cream sandwich set up, plus gourmet popcorn and cupcakes? uhm yum!

Ray’s boathouse is such a great place for a Seattle wedding! Kelsey and Sergei decided to forgo a bridal party, and instead shared the moment of their ring exchange with their parents, both sets who are celebrating many many years of marriage. I adored this wedding. They did marriage mad libs with all their guests, and shared everyones answers at the very end of the day. So unique and personalized to them! The happy couple are heading off to med school together in Spokane this month, wish them the best of luck and life together! Meet Kelsey + Sergei!
