Tara and Kelly have one of the strongest connections as a couple that I’ve ever been lucky enough to photograph and witness! There are really not enough amazing things I could say about their wedding! Tara’s parents have a beautiful tree farm in Longview, Washington, where the woodsy, meets bluff meets DIY insanely beautiful details all came together to create Tara and Kelly’s wedding day! This post is long, and totally worth it! The details are amazing!

Here are my favorite things about their wedding day:

1. The lace you see on the bouquets & hanging from chandeliers are actual pieces of Tara’s wedding dress!

2. Everything you see-and I mean everything-Tara, Kelly and her family made.

3. They started from square one with the design of their day-literally a forest of trees, to an insanely detailed and beautiful place to get married!

4. Part of the dinner was amazing salmon-caught fresh from Tara’s uncle and brought to us and cooked on the spot from Alaska!

5. Tara had her shoes dyed to match the bridesmaids dresses.

6. Tara’s Dad and Kelly’s Dad had serious dance moves! (See if you can spot them below in the post!)

7. They had a hidden whiskey bar-so cool!

8. Their way of doing a “note to the couple” was via a Message In a Bottle. Uh, yah!

9. Tara gave Kelly a very special pocket watch with a photo of his grand dad in it. We all sobbed, I sobbed, and then I couldn’t even see into my camera!

10. They had a bonfire, smores, and invited their guests to camp out on the property after the wedding!
