Matt + Gabrielle // Palace Ballroom Wedding // Seattle Wedding Photographer

Gabi and Matt got married at the Palace Ballroom on a perfect warm Seattle August Sunday! I scouted locations for Gabi and Matt’s first look-it was a super busy weekend in the city and with the gorgeous weather, the streets were packed! Matt and the guys got ready at the Warwick, and Gabi and the girls at the Westin! We met at Seattle center for their 1st look and squeezed everyone into two cars down to Pike Place! My super sweet spot parking lot saved the day as always, and we were in and out of the market in ten minutes! Gabi and I had an instant friendship from the get go-and her and Matt’s love for each other is what all photographer’s hope their wedding clients connection will be like. They’re some of the most kind people I’ve ever met and it was such a joy photographing their wedding! Enjoy my favs from your day! Much love you to you both! Cheers! ~Amanda

My fav things of their wedding day at the Palace Ballroom:

1. Gabi had a framed photo of her mom on her bouquet. She was never without her all day, people spoke of her in loving memory throughout the entire day. Truly beautiful.

2. Matt surprised Gabi with a very special ring during the ceremony-custom made from a ring she had loved for years! She was totally shocked!

3. We were 46 floors up at the Westin and and the view was spectacular!

4. They used succulents with chevron name cards and place settings and they doubled as wedding favors! Side note, mine sits on my desk Gabi! Love it!

5. The wedding was the same weekend as Hemp fest but we braved the crowds for Seattle Center and Pike Place photos-so worth it!

6. Gabi gave her bridesmaids each a very special locket-her sister’s had a photo of their mom in it.

7. There wasn’t a dry eye during their ceremony, myself included!

8. We packed me, my second shooter, the bride and 3 bridesmaids into my 4runner to get down to the market! (check out my instagram feed for the funny photos: amandalloydphotog)

9. Matt’s sister’s speech during toasts-hands down best ever.

10. Matt’s mom Gloria put together a photo slideshow at the reception. Again, not a dry eye in the ballroom!
