Hi friends! Welcome to our blog, a place where we share our favorites from weddings days, tips and a glimpse into our everyday life. So glad you're here!
Point Thompson house and Orcas Island was the completely perfect pairing for Shara and Scott’s wedding day! When I first met Shara and Scott for their Seattle engagements, it was a true Seattle day-the ferry boats were busy, we ventured down by the water and it just was such a fun afternoon.
Later that evening Shara emailed me and said she wanted to move her wedding to Orcas Island because the feel of her engagement photos-the ferrys, the water etc., reminded her so much of her love of the islands. It wasn’t soon after that, that they moved their wedding to Orcas Island at Point Thompson house!
The timing worked out really well for us. We took my Mom and the kiddos with us for four beautiful days on the islands (my first trip to Orcas, I have been missing out!)Everything about Shara and Scott’s day made my heart melt. Shara’s Dad was honored in so many aspects of the day, and Shara, I can imagine he was watching from above, so happy that you got married in Orcas, a place that you know he loved! The wedding was such a labor of love from their family and friends-from the changes to Orcas and the beautiful place we got to stay in, to the incredible florals, the food-everything was so beautifully put together.
We got to venture all over the island with them for portraits-they allotted so much time for this because it was important to them and Steven and I were SO thankful for that! Mount Constitution was a complete stunner and an out of this world view for portrait time! Scott got out his guitar, and surprised Shara with a beautiful song during their ceremony. I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the church.
Shara and Scott, thank you for treating us like family and making the weekend so special! You two are truly incredible together and your love and energy is completely infectious! Orcas Island stole our hearts that weekend and we can hardly wait to go back! Cheers to Shara and Scott!
