We love being Seattle-based wedding photographers, but a piece of our hearts truly love the opportunity to travel throughout the year for destination weddings! I love Hawaii and shooting weddings there has always been on my bucket list, so when Alicia contacted me about her wedding in Hawaii, I was so excited, and honored for us to be a part of it! We were over the moon to come to Hawaii to photograph their beautiful Hawaiian wedding at the Hickam Offficers Club on Oahu!
Over 4 years ago I shot Alicia and Michael’s military homecoming back when they lived in Washington. They were such sweet people and thanks to our friend Facebook we were able to keep in touch! Alicia and Michael married 5 years ago but due to the good ole’ military they didn’t have time to plan a big wedding. Fast forward 5 years, and being stationed in Hawaii, they decided that this was it! It was time for the big beautiful Hawaiian wedding! Along with their closest family and friends, they put together such a beautiful day at the Hickam Officers Club on Oahu, Hawaii and it was perfect! Steven and I loved everything about their day, the time we spent traveling to the USS Missouri and all over beautiful Hawaii for portraits! Their kiddos and friends cracked us up all day and we were so incredibly humbled that they hired us to be there to document it! Michael and Alicia (and your family and friends) we adore you guys and are so excited to share our favorite images on the blog today! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness and marriage to you and your family! They originally planned their ceremony under this tree but Hawaii rains more than Seattle (seriously) so last minute they decided to move the ceremony into the Lanai. I’m so glad the rain held off during portraits so that we could still take photos atleast by the tree! Being in the presence of Pearl Harbor USS Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri was an incredibly humbling experience. And then a RAINBOW appeared for us!
